North End

Today I walked through the North End.  There is a lot of history and it was very interesting, heck I even got Luis to come with me.

We started at St Johns Park with the Ukrainian-Orthodox Holy Trinity Church in the back ground.  There were a few people sleeping and a few people walking and or biking through the park.

Next we passed the St Johns Cemetery.  Just happy I was not staying for a long term visit!!
This is just off the park!! I love this city some times!!

"Near this site a school was blessed by Bishop D Anderson.  A ladies school for the daughters of our pioneers in Lord Selkirk's Settlement.  This cairn was dedicated by Nina Sawelo (nee) Hartmann wife of Wasily from the Ukraine.  Built by her son Victor with the loving support of daughter Raisa Millar and grandchildren 1996"
